There are two ways to create Virtual machines.
- Create from Content Libraries (refer 1)
- Create from .ISO media (refer 2)
1. Create from Template.
GIO-US Provides following Templates by default.
1. Click Home and select Content Libraries.
2. Choose, GIO Library [Windows | Linux] -> Templates -> OVF & OVA Templates
Choose one of template
3. Click New VM From This Template...
4. Type in Virtual machine name -> Choose DC
5. Select a compute resource
6. Review details -> Next
7. Choose datastore
Caution: DO NOT SELECT local datastore! you don't have enough data protection with it. Make sure you select Proper datastore. If you have a question about selecting a datastore, please contact IIJ America support for assistance.
7. Select Networks. Choose LAN1 - LAN3 or your dedicated network.
8. Review and create
8. Wait until complete (complete within 5 min).
9. Confirm your new Virtual machine and change spec if needed.
10. Power On, your Virtual Machine and proceed post configuration.
11. Set your password
12. post configuration usually consists of following.
- Password Setting
- Network Settings
- IP Address configuration
END

3. Enter Name for New Virtual Machine (e.x. hostname, system name, etc.)
4. Select Host Server to deploy new VM and click Next.
5. Select a Storage for new VM.

6. Select VM version (proceed with default value) and click Next.
7. Select OS type (Windows, Linux, etc) and click Next.
8. Change and Confirm hardware spec and click Next.
if you do not know which Network should be chosen, choose LAN1-3.
9. Click Finish.
10. Find a New Virtual Machine and click Edit Setting.
12. Find CD/DVD drive and select Datastore ISO or Content Library from pull-down menu.
