- Select the Compute that you want to take snapshot of and choose "Snapshots" tab.
- Edit snapshot name and write description as necessary. Click "Create" and it will create a snapshot.
- "Include Compute's memory": This option saves the VM’s memory (RAM) along with the disk state. If you revert to this snapshot, the VM goes back to exactly where it was, powered on, with all running applications intact.
- "Quiesce guest file system": This option uses VMware Tools to flush pending writes from memory to disk and briefly pause disk activity before taking the snapshot.
- If multiple snapshots are taken, they will appear in a tree structure.
- Revert to the snapshot
- If you need to revert back to the taken snapshot, click the target snapshot and select "Revert"
