2025/11/04 - DNS Server Maintenance Notice

Dear Valued Customers,

IIJ America will be performing maintenance on its DNS servers.

Target Servers:
    •    cns0.iij-america.net (216.98.98.4)
    •    cns2.iij-america.net (216.98.98.20)

Maintenance window:
    •    EST: Tuesday, November 4, 23:00–24:00
    •    PST: Tuesday, November 4, 20:00–21:00

Impact:
During the maintenance window, DNS server redundancy will temporarily be reduced.
Please note that the work will be performed one system at a time, and no complete outage is expected.

Affected Users:
Customers using IIJ America’s DNS servers may experience a reduction in redundancy.
If both Primary and Secondary DNS servers are configured at the client side, no service impact is expected.
However, if only one DNS server is currently configured, name resolution may fail during the maintenance.
We recommend configuring both DNS servers to ensure continued service availability.
