Dear Valued Customer,
We hope you're staying safe and continue trusting our Simple Backup solution (Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud) to secure your critical data.
Why MFA for Admin Accounts is Critical
Due to a recent rise in cyberattacks aimed at destroying backup data, we strongly recommend enabling Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) for all administrator accounts within your environment. Attackers increasingly target admin privileges to compromise, delete, or corrupt backups—ultimately undermining your ability to recover effectively.
MFA adds an essential layer of protection, making it significantly harder for unauthorized actors to access your system—even if passwords are compromised.
Key Actions
Activate MFA (2FA) for all admin accounts.
Minimize the number of admin accounts and ensure each has MFA enabled.
Test backup recovery processes regularly.
Stay vigilant—cyber threats continue evolving.
Acronis Cyber Protect: How to Enable MFA (2FA)
For Administrators:
Log into the Acronis Management Portal, navigate to Settings → Security, and enable Two‑Factor Authentication for your organization.
Once enabled, you will be required to configure 2FA at next login.
Securing your backup admin access with MFA ensures the integrity of your recovery capabilities—even against growing threats. If you need help with the setup, our support team is ready to assist.
Thank you for acting proactively to secure your data.
Sincerely,
IIJ America Support
