3/8/2021 LA4 metro circuit flap (case closed)

Dear Valued Customer,

We have recognized following circuit flap has reported below timeframe.

• Time: 3/8/2021 21:45 - 21:55 (PT) few circuit flap not an outage.
• Time: 3/8/2021 23:45 - 23:55 (PT) few circuit flap not an outage.

 We have isolated this particular circuit from our operation and this circuit is taken to our tech for an investigation.

The upstream physical metro fiber provider has been working to fix the issue but it is taking longer since finding root cause for metro fiber requires extensive troubleshooting across multiple section. IIJA datacenter operation team have decided to permanently isolate this particular metro fiber from our operation environment. Impact from this decision is minor since we have multiple alternative metro fiber circuits and multi site alternative route to protect our internet from outage.

Update: 3/9/2021

After initial onsite investigation, we have determined that our upstream circuit provider has faulty connection. Currently, our case has been escalated to the physical circuit provider and waiting response.
